Remember when I posted that I was gettin' crafty in 2010 and that I would send a little pack of goodies to anyone who wanted to join in the crafty challenge? Well, these are the little packs I sent out over the weekend!
I have to say that the packaging is WAY more exciting than the contents. Haha
I printed the text for the tags on the computer, then stamped an image on them (Heidi Swapp damask stamp – my all time favourite). Then I grabbed the packaging from some chipboard lettering that only had a few letters left in it. I popped the remaining letters out and used the frame as a mask and sprayed with glimmer mist. Then I wrapped a 2" circle (punched out of old book pages) around the tag and stapled it in place with a page number (again from an old book). On the back of the tag, I drew a line around the edge with water colour pencil and added a felt dot, to cover the back of the staple. I finished off the tag by rounding 3 corners, punching a hole and threading it through with string.
I had so much fun putting these together that I made a couple of extra's so if you would like to join in the fun, leave me a comment and I'll pick two at random to send. So you too can "Get your Craft on!"
Hey its always about the packaging..right...and my goodness girlie you got it right! These look fantastic, I love the use of the paper doily....I too am trying to "get my craft on in 2010"..hope your inspiration rubs off!
